Privacy

Effective 2026.

AlphaU Group LLC, a Delaware company (“SoNir,” “we,” “us”), respects your privacy. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect when you visit sonirstudio.com, why we collect it, and the rights you have. SoNir is the data controller for the personal information described below.

1. What we collect

Information you give us. When you use a contact, enquiry, or licensing form, we collect what you send us — typically your name, email address, organisation (if provided), and the contents of your message.

Information collected automatically. Standard server logs created by our hosting infrastructure (IP address, user agent, referring page, timestamp, requested URL). These are used to keep the Site running and secure and to understand broad traffic patterns.

2. What we do not do

We do not run third-party analytics scripts, advertising trackers, cross-site pixels, or fingerprinting on the Site. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your information with data brokers, ad networks, or marketing platforms. We do not build behavioural profiles of visitors.

If we ever change this — for example, by adding a privacy-respecting analytics tool — we will update this page before turning it on.

3. Cookies

The Site uses only strictly-necessary cookies or local storage where required for the Site to function (for example, to remember your theme preference). We do not set advertising or third-party tracking cookies, which is why you will not see a cookie consent banner. If that changes, we will introduce a banner and update this section.

4. Why we process your information (lawful bases)

For visitors in the UK and EU, our lawful bases under the UK and EU GDPR are:

  • Legitimate interests — keeping the Site secure, preventing abuse, and understanding aggregate traffic from server logs.
  • Performance of a contract or pre-contract steps — responding to licensing enquiries and other questions you send us.
  • Consent — for any optional communications (such as a newsletter) that you have to tick a box to receive.

5. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers acting on our instructions as processors:

  • hosting and database infrastructure providers;
  • email delivery and inbox providers used to receive and reply to your messages;
  • professional advisers (legal, accounting) when strictly necessary.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SoNir, our artists, or others.

6. International transfers

SoNir is based in the United States and our service providers may process information in the US or other countries. Where personal information of UK or EU visitors is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK and EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep information

Server logs are rotated and deleted within thirty (30) days. Email correspondence and enquiry records are kept while the conversation is active and for up to twenty-four (24) months afterwards, unless we need to keep them longer to meet legal or contractual obligations.

8. Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; have it deleted; restrict or object to processing; receive a portable copy; withdraw any consent you have given; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office, ico.org.uk).

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how we use it; request deletion or correction; opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share); limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any); and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@sonirstudio.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always at this URL with the effective date noted above. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page.
